Erin Brier
President and Executive DirectorErin is a Certified Labor Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Perinatal Consultant with nearly a decade of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
As the founder of the Indiana Doula Conference and the Indiana Association for Professional Doulas (INAPD), she feels like it has been a dream come true getting to unite birth professionals, hospitals, and community partners to better advance maternal health across the state!
Erin is passionate about creating innovative strategies that both elevate the role of doulas, and also transform birth outcomes and experiences for families and providers alike.
Sue Stockman
TreasurerServing as both Treasurer and Secretary of INAPD, she brings a lifetime of experience in organization, administration, and service. With a diverse background spanning logistics, church administration, and volunteer work, including roles in nursery care, Bible study leadership, and support at the Ronald McDonald House in South Bend, she is deeply rooted in community care.
With over 30 years of working alongside the founder, both professionally and personally as her mother, she is the steady, behind-the-scenes force helping keep everything in order as INAPD continues to grow and take shape.

Hillary Melchiors
SecretaryHillary is an advanced certified DONA doula and a Lamaze certified childbirth educator who has lived in the SW Indiana area since 2012. She has a Ph.D. in Medical Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Public Health both from Case Western Reserve University. Since founding the Doula Group of Evansville in 2014, Hillary has had a wide variety of professional experiences both as a doula and anthropologist, including being invited to speak at multiple hospitals, professional conferences, and academic conferences about doulas, advocacy, doula policy approaches, cultural barriers to breastfeeding, culture and childbirth education, reaching & serving adolescents, and obstetric violence. Hillary's professional service includes multiple local nonprofit organizations in Evansville as well as serving three years on executive committee at DONA International, including 2023 when she was president of the DONA board of directors. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her partner Andrew, their two children, and her adorable dog, Buzz.
Joslyn Cunningham
Education & Programming ChairJoslyn Cunningham is a reproductive health educator, researcher, strategist, and founder of Blissful Birthing Doula Services LLC. With nearly a decade of experience spanning maternal and infant health, perinatal mental health, reproductive health education, program development, and grant strategy, she is passionate about building educational experiences that strengthen both professionals and the communities they serve.
In addition to her consulting and educational work, Joslyn serves as Director of Research, Strategy, and Community Impact with the Birth Your Joi Community Midwifery Project and is the founder of Blissful Solutions Consulting, where she helps organizations strengthen programs through research, evaluation, strategic planning, and ecosystem development. She believes that when doulas are supported, connected, and continually learning, families and communities thrive.
Cheyenne Williamson
Marketing & PR ChairCheyenne is a birth doula, writer, and graphic designer with a passion for making birth education more accessible, practical, and empowering. She founded her doula practice, Woven Within, to combine her love of birth work and design, creating evidence-informed resources that help doulas, birth professionals, and growing families feel more confident navigating pregnancy, labor, and birth.
Whether She’s supporting a client through labor, designing educational tools, or writing her next resource, her goal is always the same: to meet people where they are with compassion, curiosity, and information they can actually use.
When she’s not immersed in birth work, you’ll probably find her listening to an audiobook, watching Star Trek, crocheting, or enjoying an ice-cold Canada Dry.
